Weekly Dragon Update – Oct 23 – 27

Dragon Update for Oct 23 – 27

What a glorious week filled with sun-filled days outside.  We continue to be grateful for the many blessings in our lives.

Dear God,

We thank you…
For the laughter of the children,
For my own life breath,
For the abundance of food on this table,
For the ones who prepared this sumptuous feast,
For the roof over our heads,
The clothes on our backs,
For our health,
And our wealth of blessings,
For this opportunity to celebrate with family and friends,
For the freedom to pray these words
Without fear,
In any language,
In any faith,
In this great country,
Whose landscape is as vast and beautiful as her inhabitants.
Thank You, God, for giving us all these. Amen.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE

St. Dominic Savio’s yearly Thanksgiving Food drive is under way.

As a school, we will be collecting non-perishable food items (i.e. soup, jam, pasta, rice, etc.) for needy families in our community. All of the food we collect during the food drive will be given to the St. Vincent de Paul unit (at St. Mark’s Church) where it will be distributed to those in need.

St. Dominic’s community has always been very generous and thoughtful during our “Thanksgiving Food Drive” and we ask this of  you again. So, please send in non-perishable food items from October 5th through to October 16th.

We thank you once again for your generosity and your help in making the “Thanksgiving Food Drive” a success.
